Fermata Energy Expands Its Leadership Team to Meet the Growing Demand for V2X Technology

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — March 11, 2022 — The electric vehicles (EV) market is expanding, while electric power generation is shifting to renewables. This is made possible by vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology, allowing EVs to generate money while parked by supplying energy storage to the power grid.

As the electric vehicle market grows and demand for V2X technology continues to evolve, Fermata Energy is expanding its leadership team to meet the growing appetite for its software and V2X systems.

Fermata Energy welcomes George Miller as its Director of Business Development. Miller most recently served as the Director of Truck Sales for BYD Motors, an electric vehicle manufacturer with headquarters in China and operations across the US. He holds a BA from Williams College, an MBA from MIT Sloan and has 10+ years of experience working in Cleantech.

As Director of Business Development for Fermata Energy, Miller will be responsible for growing the number of fleet customers who will take advantage of Fermata Energy's V2X technology to lower their buildings' energy costs. Miller will also identify and develop new markets, customer segments, and product offerings. In addition, he will work to enhance and grow Fermata Energy's relationships with its strategic partners to advance technical and market integration.

"Demand for our technology is growing," said Fermata Energy founder and CEO David Slutzky. "Given George's experience and national network, we look forward to expanding our technology into new markets and helping others discover the value of leveraging their electric vehicles as mobile power generators."

“Fermata Energy has demonstrated itself as a leader in V2X technology, with vocal advocates from all segments: utilities, manufacturers, and fleets.” said Miller. “ The team’s expertise and performance have attracted strategic partners and investors that position us terrifically to unlock the value of electric vehicle batteries.”

Fermata Energy's V2X technology provides essential energy storage to the power grid to facilitate the transition to renewables and provides revenue generation capabilities for EVs and EV fleet owners. Fermata Energy's next-generation bidirectional, UL-approved EV charger and accompanying proprietary energy management software platform help customers dispatch power from stored energy in EV batteries directly back into the grid (V2G), building (V2B), or home (V2H). This functionality turns EVs into energy storage resources and in the process, unlocks and monetizes the massive energy storage potential of EVs.
